CELEBRATION OF GRAND PARENTS DAY ON 31st Oct.08: The grand parents were warmly welcomed by the Principal on their arrival. They were welcomed with brusquest of flowers. They urged all the the students to study well and make a good position for themselves in the Society which would make both their School and Family proud of them.

REPORT ON TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATIONS on 05 Sept.2008:

Teacher’s Day was celebrated with joy and fervor on 5 Sept. 2008 in the Kendriya Vidyalaya NEPA premises, The Programme started during the morning assembly with Principal and Teachers paying floral tributes to the picture of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. The senior students of classes XI and XII presented flowers to all the teachers.Principal gave a short speech highlighting the merits of Dr. Radhakrishnan. The message of honorable President and Prime Minister was readout. After recess the students of the Vidyalaya presented a colorful entertainment programme which included songs and dances. A musical chair competition was also organized for the teachers and students sharing light refreshment.

REPORT ON CELEBRATION OF WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 5th JUNE 2008

As world environment day is celebrated on 5th June every year. Various programmes were organized at the Vidyalaya level to create awareness among the students about protecting our environment. Principal Mrs.R.Barafl addressed the students and urged them to make limited efforts to protect our environment. Urged to students to become active agents of sustainable & equitable development which will ensure people enjoy a safer and more prosperous future. ' Each one , Plant one".

PGT (Phy.) and TGT (Sanskrit) urged the students on this occasion to cover the barren lands by plantation of trees for the benefit of ourselves. Later after recess a painting & drawing competition was organized for class III to VIII and the topic was "Our environment" & slogan writing competition was organized for class IX to XII.

REPORT ON EARTH DAY CELEBRATION

Earth day was celebrated by kendriya vidyalaya NEPA , Barapani on 22nd April 2008 in the morning assembly. A speech was delivered by Mr. Gaurav Dwivedi, PGT (physics) of the vidyalaya highlighting the effects of global warming on the earth. He stressed on importance of sawing the earth and its resources. Arita Paul, a student of class XII (science stream spoke about the importance of the earth. She said that it is our moral duty to save the earth and its resources for our future generations.

Report on Annual Day Celebration

Annual Day 2008 was celebrated in NEPA Hall on 11th April 2008. The Chief Guest in the occasion was Shri Vijay Raj, Joint Director of North Eastern Police Academy. His wife, Smt Hemlata Bhati was also graced the occasion and gave away the prizes to students. In her welcome address the principal of the Vidyalaya Mrs. Ranjana Barfal highlighted the academic of the students throughout the year. A colourful cultural programme followed. It consisted of Khasi dance, Assamese dance, Dandiya dance, English and Hindi skits as well as programmes by the students of primary section. After the cultural programme the honorable Chief Guest appreciated the efforts put in by the students. The programme ended with vote of thanks and singing of National Anthem by the students of the Vidyalaya.

CELEBRATION OF DR. B.R. AMBEDKAR BIRHTDAY ( 16 April 2007)

116^th Birhtday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was celebrated in K. V. NEPA in the Morning Assemby on 16-04-2007 with joy. Km. Sheetal Dagar of Class XII SC. and Master Ankit Panday of class X elaborated the contributions of Dr. Ambedkar to the nation.

VACCINATION PROGRAMME FOR HEPATITIS-B

Vaccination Programme against the Hepatitis-B is being organized in three phases in the vidyalaya to prevent the infection of this disease and to ensure the good health of students. Second phase of this programme has already been completed.

Annual Sports day celebration 2007

Annual Sports Meet Celebration at KV NEPA,Barapani 2007-08

Kendriya Vidyalaya ,NEPA ,Barapani organized its Annual Sports Meet 2007-08 in North Eastern Police Academy ground on 7th Dec.2007 at 9:30 AM. the occasion started with the Welcome speech by Mrs.R.Barfal,The Principal of the Vidyalaya. Sri T.Pachuau ,IPS ,Director of NEPA and Chairman of VMC graced the occasion by his presence as the Chief guest. Important Athletic events, Primary children's joyful events, Teacher's events, Parent's events and colorful cultural programmed were presented on the occasion. One of the scouts, Master Amit Sinha who got Rastrapati Award in the scouting movement was honored by the Chief Guest. Important Tae-kowndo events were also Presented by the students under The Supervision and guidance of Part Time Tae-Kowndo Coach, Mr.Binoy Lawrance. Kumari Ridalyn Lyngdoh was declared The Best Sports girl of the year. The Chief Guest in his Speech appreciated and blessed The students for Their all round progress in sports as well as academic Excellency. The Occasion ended with The Vote of Thanks by Mr.K.Kumar PET of The Vidyalaya.
